ABSTRACT

Motivation to study plays a crucial role in the success of education and academic achievements of schoolchildren. The ability to retain and strengthen the motivation of students is important for ensuring a stable interest in learning, improving learning activity and forming a positive attitude to the learning process. In this scientific article, we will consider the key factors influencing the preservation and strengthening of motivation of middle school students, as well as present methods that help to cope with the problems of reduced motivation.

Мотивация к учебе играет решающую роль в успешности образования и академических достижениях школьников. Способность удерживать и укреплять мотивацию учащихся важна для обеспечения стабильного интереса к обучению, улучшения учебной активности и формирования позитивного отношения к учебному процессу. В данной научной статье рассмотрим ключевые факторы, влияющие на сохранение и укрепление мотивации учащихся средних классов, а также представим методы, которые помогают справиться с проблемами снижения мотивации.

Factors affecting the motivation to study in middle school students

  1. Classroom and school atmosphere: Successful retention of motivation to study is related to the atmosphere prevailing in the classroom and in the school as a whole. Support from teachers, public recognition of achievements, as well as positive relationships among students have a strong impact on the motivation of schoolchildren.
  2. Relevance of the content of educational materials: Students are better motivated when the content of academic subjects is related to their interests, needs and future plans.
  3. A sense of competence: A sense of one's own competence in performing educational tasks and achieving success helps to strengthen the motivation of students.
  4. Parental support: Parental support is important for maintaining motivation to study. Parents' active participation in the educational process and encouragement of academic achievements help children feel more confident and motivated.

Methods of preserving and strengthening motivation to study

  1. The use of a differentiated approach in teaching: Teachers should take into account the diverse interests, learning styles and levels of training of students. This approach will help each student feel confident and successful in their studies.
  2. The use of technology in education: Interactive learning materials, educational games and web resources can make learning more interesting and attractive for students.
  3. Stimulating Self-regulation: Teachers can help students develop self-regulation and time management skills. This will help children plan their studies and assignments more effectively.
  4. Support and recognition of academic achievements: Encouragement and recognition of academic success, both individual and group, stimulate students to further success and maintain motivation to study.

Conclusion

Maintaining and strengthening the motivation to study among middle school students plays an important role in their education and personal development. The atmosphere in the classroom and school, the relevance of the educational material, a sense of competence and the support of parents - all these factors contribute to the formation of a positive attitude to learning. The use of a differentiated approach, technologies in education, stimulation of self-regulation and support of educational achievements help to strengthen motivation and contribute to the successful learning of students.
